Halloween ... by Jinglebats

Welcome to my spooky, quirky and a little campy world of Halloween. My vision is a more playful one with a mix of gothic and vintage spookiness to tantalize and haunt the senses with minimal gore. The only disembodied heads around here will be the ghostly kind. I want to invoke those scary but fun feelings of the season with pumpkins, witches, bats, ghosts...and perhaps there will be a skeleton or two lurking in the closet. I am available for questions, consultations and can even goblin up your lair for a price that won't send you screaming into the night. Why a Halloween decorator? Because sometimes there is nothing scarier than a busy Los Angelino trying to carve out time for a good scare.

Ode to Halloween

witches

Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison’d entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights hast thirty one
Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Macbeth Act 4, Scene 1 by William Shakespeare

skull

You heap the logs and try to fill
The little room with words and cheer,
But silent feet are on the hill,
Across the window veiled eyes peer.
The hosts of lovers, young in death,
Go seeking down the world to-night
Remembering faces, warmth and breath—
And they shall seek till it is light.
Then let the white-flaked logs burn low,
Lest those who drift before the storm
See gladness on our hearth and know
There is no flame can make them warm.
